shade under the big old tree

3 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2907

Like sitting under the huge old tree at the edge of the village at noon: peppermint blows a cool breeze, tea tree feels clean and a little green, and blue chamomile lays down a soft, slightly sweet herbal layer. Suits a nap room or wherever you rest after coming in from the sun. Set the diffuser to intermittent mode so the cool stays steady without getting harsh.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Blue chamomile (deeply herbal, bittersweet and a little smoky) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use shade under the big old tree in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 4 · Tea Tree 2 · Blue Chamomile 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use shade under the big old tree?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
