Nine in the morning: lemongrass and bergamot open fresh and zesty like the first lemonade of the day, then jasmine and neroli, one drop each, add a few gentle white petals. Clean and bright, it suits a coffee meetup or an early team meeting. Mix the nine drops with carrier oil in a roller bottle; lemongrass can cause skin irritation, so don't skimp on the carrier oil.

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Jasmine (white-floral, sweet, heady and alluring); neroli (white-floral, honeyed and clear) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
