On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); mandarin (gently sweet, softer than orange) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Star anise (sweet and warm, reminiscent of pho broth and Tet sweets) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
