A softer version for after a short nap. Lemongrass, spearmint and sweet orange, three drops each, smell like a glass of iced lemongrass and orange tea: fresh, lightly sweet and gently cool. Nothing harsh here, so it works for scent-sensitive people or a shared bedroom too. Tip: turn on the diffuser as soon as you sit up and open the curtains at the same time; daylight plus that citrusy lemongrass will pull you out from under the blanket faster.

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
