post-argument cooldown

3 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-0656

Right after an argument, everyone needs their own corner. Peppermint and Roman chamomile split four drops each, minty cool blending with honeyed sweet apple; three drops of basil add sweet, spicy green leaf. Good for the bedroom or balcony, where you sit alone for fifteen minutes. Once you've cooled off, turn on the diffuser in the living room and invite the other person to sit down and talk.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use post-argument cooldown in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 3 · Roman Chamomile 3 · Basil 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use post-argument cooldown?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
