Blend recipes · Stress relief

after a whole afternoon cooking

4 oils · Floral · Herbal · Minty · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0828

Hours at the stove, cooking smells clinging to your hair, and now you need a clean scent to bring you back. Lavender leads with a neat floral-herbal note, peppermint and basil add a cool green streak with a little spice, and a drop of frankincense keeps the finish warm and deep. Best diffused in the living room right after cleaning up. For a softer evening version, take out a drop of peppermint and add a drop of lavender.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use after a whole afternoon cooking in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 3 · Peppermint 2 · Basil 2 · Frankincense 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use after a whole afternoon cooking?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
