my room, my oasis

4 oils · Floral · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0620

In the middle of a noisy city, your room is your own oasis. Lavender leads the way with clean flowers, patchouli pulls it down into damp earth like tree roots after rain, Roman chamomile sprinkles in honeyed apple, and a single drop of frankincense lights a little incense-like warmth. Perfect for a bedroom with the door shut and rain or wave sounds playing. For something lighter, cut patchouli to one drop.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Lavender 3 · Patchouli 2 · Roman Chamomile 2 · Frankincense 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Lavender 2 · Patchouli 1 · Roman Chamomile 1 · Frankincense 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Lavender 11 · Patchouli 8 · Roman Chamomile 8 · Frankincense 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use my room, my oasis in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 3 · Patchouli 2 · Roman Chamomile 2 · Frankincense 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use my room, my oasis?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
