mom's coming to visit

5 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2344

Mom's coming to stay, so the house has to be spotless. Icy peppermint opens the show, lemon follows bright and fresh, then rosemary, tea tree and lavender settle together into a herbal, clean and gentle base. This big bottle lasts the whole visit. Put 5 drops in the diffuser before mom arrives, and don't forget to wipe out the fridge too.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use mom's coming to visit in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 3 · Lemon 2 · Rosemary 1 · Tea Tree 1 · Lavender 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use mom's coming to visit?
Use it after cooking or cleaning, in the bathroom, near the shoe cabinet, or in rooms shared with pets.
