let it be, with fennel

2 oils · Herbal · code BL-0771

Oh well, let it go. Fifteen drops of clary sage form a soft, warm, slightly honeyed cloud of herbs; five drops of fennel add sweet anise like freshly baked cookies. Two oils, one very round and easy-to-breathe scent. Good for the bedroom or living room in the evening. A small room uses about a third; run the diffuser for 20 minutes.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried); fennel (sweet and herbal with a little anise) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Clary Sage 6 · Fennel 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Clary Sage 4 · Fennel 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Clary Sage 22 · Fennel 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use let it be, with fennel in a diffuser?
Add Clary Sage 6 · Fennel 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of clary sage?
Swap clary sage for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use let it be, with fennel?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
