lemon vs the parking spot

4 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Woody · code BL-1182

Fighting for a parking spot first thing in the morning, and everyone's cranky. Six drops of lemon open with fresh tang, five drops of juniper add green resin, and basil and eucalyptus, four drops each, bring sweet spice and airy coolness. Premix these nineteen drops in a bottle to keep at the office. Great for the office right after you've parked, to get your spirits back before work starts.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood); basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use lemon vs the parking spot in a diffuser?
Add Lemon 3 · Juniper 2 · Basil 2 · Eucalyptus 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lemon?
Swap lemon for sweet orange or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: sweet orange is ripe, sweet, cheerful and round.
When is the best time to use lemon vs the parking spot?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
