Studying on a winter night, wrapped in a blanket, holding a mug of hot cocoa. Sixteen drops of lemon open with fresh tang, rosemary and lavender, ten drops each, add alert green notes and softness, and two drops of cinnamon scatter a warm, sweet spice. Mix a bottle for the whole winter, five drops each evening. Great for a study room in the cold season with the door closed.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); cinnamon (spicy-sweet, hot and warm) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Cinnamon can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
