kept a plant alive

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · code BL-1475

For the first time ever, you've kept a succulent alive, and that deserves a celebration. Lavender and lime, two drops each, plus basil and geranium, one drop each: purple florals, green tartness, spicy-sweet leaves and green rose. The scent is like a little garden corner out on the balcony. Great for rooms full of plants; it's best switched on right after watering.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use kept a plant alive in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 2 · Lime 2 · Basil 1 · Geranium 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for ylang ylang or Roman chamomile — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: ylang ylang is rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral.
When is the best time to use kept a plant alive?
Use it when guests are coming, on weekends, after tidying the house, or whenever you want a little good mood.
