The first cold front arrives, and the jacket comes out of the closet. Lavender leads cleanly, and cinnamon adds a warm, spicy-sweet note like a mug of hot cinnamon tea. Two simple notes that suit chilly weather perfectly, warm without being heavy. It's great for the living room or bedroom in early winter; cinnamon is strong, so in a small room use 3 drops of lavender and 1 drop of cinnamon.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); cinnamon (spicy-sweet, hot and warm) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Cinnamon can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
