ice pops at the school gate

3 oils · Minty · Resinous & sweet · code BL-2893

Anyone who ever lined up for ice pops outside the school gate will know this one: creamy sweet vanilla up front, then spearmint and peppermint rush in, icy like shaved ice. Lovely for the living room right after school, when everyone is home and needs to unwind a little. The blend is fairly sweet, so run the diffuser for about 30 minutes, then take a break; for more chill, add exactly one drop of peppermint.

How it unfolds

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Vanilla (creamy, sweet and cozy) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Vanilla 4 · Spearmint 2 · Peppermint 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Vanilla 3 · Spearmint 1 · Peppermint 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Vanilla 17 · Spearmint 9 · Peppermint 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use ice pops at the school gate in a diffuser?
Add Vanilla 4 · Spearmint 2 · Peppermint 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of vanilla?
Swap vanilla for frankincense or myrrh — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: frankincense is resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still.
When is the best time to use ice pops at the school gate?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
