grown-up way to unwind

4 oils · Floral · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1825

Myrrh and palmarosa split evenly at ten drops each: deep rooty wood meets fresh pink grass, then frankincense and sandalwood lay on a smooth resin-and-wood layer. Relaxing the grown-up way, slow and with taste. Great for the living room in the evening with instrumental music. Premix the 30 drops; in a roller bottle, apply to your wrists and the back of your neck.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Palmarosa (sweet and grassy with a rosy note) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Myrrh 3 · Palmarosa 3 · Frankincense 1 · Sandalwood 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Myrrh 2 · Palmarosa 2 · Frankincense 1 · Sandalwood 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Myrrh 10 · Palmarosa 10 · Frankincense 5 · Sandalwood 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use grown-up way to unwind in a diffuser?
Add Myrrh 3 · Palmarosa 3 · Frankincense 1 · Sandalwood 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of myrrh?
Swap myrrh for vanilla or coffee — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use grown-up way to unwind?
Diffuse it in a room, or mix a roller to dab on your wrists (diluted in a carrier oil).
