Blend recipes · Fresh air & odor control

fresh down to the soles

2 oils · Citrus · Woody · code BL-2456

Fragrant right down to the soles of your shoes, no spot missed. Bergamot and juniper split two drops each: elegant citrus peel on top, dry resinous wood settling underneath, a clean yet very classy pair. At night, put it on two cotton balls and tuck one into each shoe overnight. In the morning, take out the cotton, and your shoes are lightly fragrant, dry and ready for a new day.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Bergamot 2 · Juniper 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Bergamot 2 · Juniper 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Bergamot 15 · Juniper 15 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use fresh down to the soles in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 2 · Juniper 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use fresh down to the soles?
Use it after cooking or cleaning, in the bathroom, near the shoe cabinet, or in rooms shared with pets.
