flipping through old albums

3 oils · Citrus · Woody · code BL-2723

Turning album pages and meeting your childhood self again. Sweet orange opens fresh and sweet like old-school candy, patchouli follows with damp, slightly musty earth like a drawer left closed for years, and one drop of pine adds a cool touch. Good for the bedroom or a keepsake corner on year-end evenings. Run the diffuser for about 20 minutes; for deeper nostalgia, add 1 drop of patchouli.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Pine (green and resinous, like a forest walk) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Sweet Orange 4 · Patchouli 3 · Pine 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Sweet Orange 2 · Patchouli 2 · Pine 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Sweet Orange 15 · Patchouli 11 · Pine 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use flipping through old albums in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 4 · Patchouli 3 · Pine 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for lemon or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use flipping through old albums?
Made for chilly days, cold rain, Tet (the Lunar New Year) and Christmas; use it in the living room or bedroom.
