empty cafe, slow jazz

3 oils · Citrus · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0391

Empty cafe, soft jazz, a cup of coffee slowly going cold. Coffee leads deep and warm, patchouli adds a dark earthy base, and a drop of bergamot opens up a little elegant freshness. The scent is deep and layered, good for a home office or a reading nook on a rainy afternoon. Run the diffuser on a low setting; for a brighter scent, raise bergamot to 2 drops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Coffee (dark-roasted and warm); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Coffee 3 · Patchouli 2 · Bergamot 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Coffee 2 · Patchouli 2 · Bergamot 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Coffee 15 · Patchouli 10 · Bergamot 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use empty cafe, slow jazz in a diffuser?
Add Coffee 3 · Patchouli 2 · Bergamot 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of coffee?
Swap coffee for frankincense or vanilla — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: frankincense is resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still.
When is the best time to use empty cafe, slow jazz?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
