contagious joy

5 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · code BL-1557

Joy can spread to the whole room. Sweet orange and lemon, four drops each, are fresh and bright; rose and clary sage, three drops each, add silky petals and soft, sweet herbs; and two drops of rosemary bring green herbs. The scent is multi-layered and cheerful, great for a living room full of people. For rooms under 15m², use half the amount.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Rose (deep, silky and luxurious); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use contagious joy in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 2 · Lemon 2 · Rose 2 · Clary Sage 2 · Rosemary 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for bergamot or lemongrass — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: bergamot is light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style.
When is the best time to use contagious joy?
Use it when guests are coming, on weekends, after tidying the house, or whenever you want a little good mood.
