Frankincense leads with warm resin; juniper, cedarwood and sweet orange, a drop each, add needles, dry wood and fresh orange. Polished and never overpowering, so it sits nicely alongside the food, good for an office or meeting room decked out for the year-end party. Start the diffuser in the lobby 30 minutes before the party; in large spaces, triple the recipe.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
