Star anise leads sweet and spicy like the licorice candy of childhood, while Ceylon cassia and Roman chamomile follow equally, sweet-warm and mellow like floral tea. Good for the bedroom or for digging through old toys on winter evenings. Run the diffuser 20 minutes before bed; star anise is strong, so in small rooms cut it to 4 drops.

As it settles. Star anise (sweet and warm, reminiscent of pho broth and Tet sweets); Ceylon cassia (sweet, softly spicy and warm); Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Ceylon Cassia can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
