bus ride to the countryside

3 oils · Citrus · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0916

Riding the bus to the countryside, watching rice fields roll past the window. Frankincense and sandalwood, two drops each, make a warm resin base blended with creamy wood, and a single drop of bergamot is fresh like a breeze through a cracked window. Great for a small room, or drip it on a wooden diffuser block to take on long trips. For more of a countryside feel, add a drop of rosemary.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Bergamot 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Frankincense 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Bergamot 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Frankincense 12 · Sandalwood 12 · Bergamot 6 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use bus ride to the countryside in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Bergamot 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or myrrh — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use bus ride to the countryside?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
