brooding artist hours

3 oils · Floral · Woody · code BL-0497

Rosewood and lavender split four drops each, so the scent opens as soft as flowers but shaped like wood, slightly sweet and delicately spicy. Two drops of blue chamomile line it with warm dried herbs, giving the whole thing a touch of artistic melancholy. Perfect for a drawing desk, a corner where you play music, or late-night writing. For a lighter scent, cut blue chamomile to one drop.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Rosewood (sweet, floral and woody, soft and rosy); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); blue chamomile (deeply herbal, bittersweet and a little smoky) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Rosewood 4 · Lavender 4 · Blue Chamomile 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Rosewood 2 · Lavender 2 · Blue Chamomile 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Rosewood 12 · Lavender 12 · Blue Chamomile 6 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use brooding artist hours in a diffuser?
Add Rosewood 4 · Lavender 4 · Blue Chamomile 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of rosewood?
Swap rosewood for cedarwood or sandalwood — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: cedarwood is dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings.
When is the best time to use brooding artist hours?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
