dialing it down a notch

3 oils · Floral · Herbal · code BL-0206

About to snap? Pause for a beat. Blue chamomile makes up most of the blend with a rich, sweet herbal scent, warm like drying hay; lavender adds cleanness and tea tree blows in a cool, fresh green-leaf note. The scent is rich yet gentle, perfect for a workspace or living room when you need to cool down. Blue chamomile is fairly strong; in a small room use 3, 2 and 1 drops, and remember to rinse the diffuser after use.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Blue chamomile (deeply herbal, bittersweet and a little smoky); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

FAQ

How do I use dialing it down a notch in a diffuser?
Add Blue Chamomile 4 · Lavender 2 · Tea Tree 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of blue chamomile?
Swap blue chamomile for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use dialing it down a notch?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
