breezy midweek

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Minty · code BL-1486

It's the middle of the week, but your heart feels light and breezy. Spearmint and ylang-ylang split evenly at three drops each, sweet coolness blended with sweet yellow flowers; two drops of bergamot are fresh and clean. This pleasant scent suits the office or living room midweek. For more coolness, add 1 drop of spearmint; in a small room, cut the ylang-ylang to 2.

How it unfolds

On opening. Spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Spearmint 3 · Ylang Ylang 3 · Bergamot 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use breezy midweek in a diffuser?
Add Spearmint 3 · Ylang Ylang 3 · Bergamot 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of spearmint?
Swap spearmint for peppermint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: peppermint is cool, sharp and clean.
When is the best time to use breezy midweek?
Use it when guests are coming, on weekends, after tidying the house, or whenever you want a little good mood.
