back rubs, both ways

3 oils · Floral · Herbal · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0604

Two people taking turns pounding each other's backs, telling stories about the day. Rosemary and lavender are evenly matched, one cool green like crushed leaves, the other soft, familiar purple; frankincense lines the bottom with warm resin that helps the scent last. Good for the living room in the evening, the whole family gathered. A small room needs only half the recipe; run the diffuser for about half an hour.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

FAQ

How do I use back rubs, both ways in a diffuser?
Add Rosemary 3 · Lavender 3 · Frankincense 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of rosemary?
Swap rosemary for eucalyptus or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: eucalyptus is strong, cool and wide open.
When is the best time to use back rubs, both ways?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
