afternoon boost

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · code BL-1173

An afternoon boost for when lunch starts to kick in. Three drops of sweet orange open with a cheerful, fresh sweetness, two drops of lime add a sharp green tang, and a single drop of rosemary brings an alert herbal note. Great for about an hour after lunch, when everyone starts to fade. If you need a bigger push, add one drop of peppermint to the diffuser.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh); rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Lime can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

FAQ

How do I use afternoon boost in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 3 · Lime 2 · Rosemary 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for lemon or bergamot — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use afternoon boost?
Best in the morning, early afternoon, or right after a nap; avoid using it close to bedtime.
