woke up to a wind shift

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · code BL-2128

Waking up to a change in the weather, a warm sweet orange scent makes a lovely hello. Sweet orange leads, cheerful and fresh, lemon adds brightness, and eucalyptus radiata makes each breath cool and soft. Great for the bedroom or the kitchen while you brew your morning coffee. Turn on the diffuser as soon as you sit up; for more of a wake-up, add 1 drop of eucalyptus radiata.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); eucalyptus radiata (gently cool, softer than classic eucalyptus) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Sweet Orange 4 · Lemon 3 · Eucalyptus Radiata 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Sweet Orange 2 · Lemon 2 · Eucalyptus Radiata 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Sweet Orange 13 · Lemon 10 · Eucalyptus Radiata 7 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use woke up to a wind shift in a diffuser?
Add Sweet Orange 4 · Lemon 3 · Eucalyptus Radiata 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of sweet orange?
Swap sweet orange for bergamot or lemongrass — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: bergamot is light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style.
When is the best time to use woke up to a wind shift?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
