Making pho on the weekend, and the whole house smells of spices. Four drops of coriander are sweet, spicy and warm like toasted coriander seed, three drops of sweet orange are cheerful, and two drops of ylang-ylang bring sweet yellow flowers. The scent is unusual yet cozy, great for the dining room and living room. Switch it on after the meal so the oils gently replace the broth smell while the kitchen keeps its family warmth.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Coriander (warm and seedy, lightly sweet, with a whisper of spice); ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
