Blend recipes · Summer fresh

too hot, getting grumpy

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Minty · code BL-2955

Lemongrass pops up first, fresh and airy. Lavender and spearmint follow, one soft, one cool, pulling the scent toward pleasant and settled. Great for muggy afternoons when literally everything gets on your nerves, whether you are in the living room or the home office. For an even gentler, more mellow version, raise lavender to four drops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Lemongrass 4 · Lavender 3 · Spearmint 3 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

FAQ

How do I use too hot, getting grumpy in a diffuser?
Add Lemongrass 4 · Lavender 3 · Spearmint 3 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lemongrass?
Swap lemongrass for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use too hot, getting grumpy?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
