think less, slow down

4 oils · Herbal · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-1013

Simplify your life; with less, you feel lighter. Myrrh, sandalwood, and clary sage get two drops each: deep wood, creamy wood, and soft, sweet herbs, while a single drop of patchouli holds a damp-earth tail. Great for a minimalist bedroom or a clutter-free workspace. Tip: clear your desk first and then start the diffuser; the scent will come through more clearly.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic); sandalwood (creamy, smooth and long-lasting); patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Myrrh 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Clary Sage 2 · Patchouli 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Myrrh 1 · Sandalwood 1 · Clary Sage 1 · Patchouli 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Myrrh 9 · Sandalwood 9 · Clary Sage 9 · Patchouli 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use think less, slow down in a diffuser?
Add Myrrh 2 · Sandalwood 2 · Clary Sage 2 · Patchouli 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of myrrh?
Swap myrrh for frankincense or vanilla — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: frankincense is resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still.
When is the best time to use think less, slow down?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
