Blend recipes · Summer fresh

sweet like that one summer

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Woody · code BL-2920

Palmarosa opens with a grassy rose scent, sweet and fresh, geranium follows, and sweet orange adds cheer. Patchouli is just one drop, but it leaves a warm earthy finish, so the scent lingers like a summer memory. Nice for a bedroom in the afternoon or a journaling corner. If patchouli is not your thing, you can leave it out completely; the blend still feels well rounded.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Palmarosa (sweet and grassy with a rosy note); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Palmarosa 3 · Geranium 2 · Sweet Orange 2 · Patchouli 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

FAQ

How do I use sweet like that one summer in a diffuser?
Add Palmarosa 3 · Geranium 2 · Sweet Orange 2 · Patchouli 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of palmarosa?
Swap palmarosa for lavender or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: lavender is floral-herbal, clean and soothing.
When is the best time to use sweet like that one summer?
Use it at midday, in hot rooms, or after coming in from outside; you can also mix a room spray for a quick cool-down.
