stuffy room after the rain

3 oils · Citrus · Herbal · code BL-0743

A week of rain, and your rented room is getting stuffy and damp. Ten drops of clary sage soften the air with gentle herbs, rosemary sweeps through with cool green leaf, and lemon leaves crisp peel that makes the room feel freshly wiped down. Good for small rooms during long rainy spells. A small room uses half, and open the windows to let the breeze in as soon as the rain stops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use stuffy room after the rain in a diffuser?
Add Clary Sage 3 · Rosemary 3 · Lemon 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of clary sage?
Swap clary sage for eucalyptus or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: eucalyptus is strong, cool and wide open.
When is the best time to use stuffy room after the rain?
Turn it on when your head feels tight: before a meeting, after a long day, or when you need a few minutes to settle.
