Off work, body a little stiff, brain running in slow motion. Lavender and Roman chamomile split ten drops each, purple flowers blending with smooth, honeyed sweet apple; sweet orange and geranium add fresh orange peel and green rose. Good for the living room in the early evening. It's a big batch, about 5 drops of the mix each time; switch it on at the same time as the rice cooker.

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
