Lemon is the star, tart and bright like the iced lemon tea sold on sidewalks all over Hanoi, where friends sit on tiny stools and chat for hours, while basil and spearmint, one drop each, add a cool green-leaf note. Great for friend hangouts, team work sessions or a muggy living room. Switch it on as the conversation starts; a diffuser in the middle of the table is just right.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
