shy all afternoon

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · code BL-1612

Shy the whole time, not daring to look them in the eye. Three drops of bergamot are fresh and clean, while neroli and clary sage, one drop each, bring pure white flowers and tea-like sweet herbs. The scent is bashful and gentle, great for a small cafe or the living room on a first date. Use a mini diffuser for a small corner; for a large room, double it.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Neroli (white-floral, honeyed and clear); clary sage (sweet, herbal, slightly musky and unhurried) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Bergamot 3 · Neroli 1 · Clary Sage 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use shy all afternoon in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 3 · Neroli 1 · Clary Sage 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for lemon or sweet orange — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: lemon is fresh, bright and clean.
When is the best time to use shy all afternoon?
Made for date nights, candlelit dinners and private spaces; switch it on 15 minutes before anyone arrives.
