lingering at the cafe

3 oils · Citrus · Floral · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0184

An easygoing coffee session, no teasing, no drama. Rich, warm roasted beans lead, lavender softens the middle, and one drop of bergamot adds a little brightness at the top. The scent is pleasant and grown-up, perfect for a home office in the morning or a spot for receiving guests. For a brighter morning scent, raise bergamot to 2 drops and the coffee will feel less intense.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Coffee (dark-roasted and warm) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Coffee 3 · Lavender 2 · Bergamot 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Coffee 2 · Lavender 2 · Bergamot 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Coffee 15 · Lavender 10 · Bergamot 5 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

FAQ

How do I use lingering at the cafe in a diffuser?
Add Coffee 3 · Lavender 2 · Bergamot 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of coffee?
Swap coffee for frankincense or vanilla — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: frankincense is resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still.
When is the best time to use lingering at the cafe?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
