lemon vs. the sniffles

4 oils · Citrus · Herbal · Minty · code BL-2050

Two drops of rosemary lead, green and crisp, then one drop each of lemon and lime, two different shades of zesty, and a drop of peppermint seals it with a cool finish. The scent feels awake and airy, right for days when your body feels heavy and your head a little foggy. Five drops go in a desk diffuser; keep sipping warm water and get plenty of rest.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating); lemon (fresh, bright and clean); lime (zesty, gently tart and very fresh); peppermint (cool, sharp and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Rosemary 2 · Lemon 1 · Lime 1 · Peppermint 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

FAQ

How do I use lemon vs. the sniffles in a diffuser?
Add Rosemary 2 · Lemon 1 · Lime 1 · Peppermint 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of rosemary?
Swap rosemary for eucalyptus or tea tree — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: eucalyptus is strong, cool and wide open.
When is the best time to use lemon vs. the sniffles?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
