home soaked from the rain

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · code BL-0617

Home after getting caught in the rain, clothes soaked, hair plastered down, craving a hot shower. Eucalyptus radiata opens with a cool breath gentler than regular eucalyptus, lavender joins in like a clean towel fresh from the closet; bergamot and basil sprinkle in sweet-tart citrus and lightly spicy green leaf. Good for the bathroom and bedroom on rainy nights. Turn on the diffuser as soon as you walk in; by the time you've showered, it smells lovely.

How it unfolds

On opening. Eucalyptus radiata (gently cool, softer than classic eucalyptus); bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

FAQ

How do I use home soaked from the rain in a diffuser?
Add Lavender 2 · Eucalyptus Radiata 2 · Bergamot 1 · Basil 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of lavender?
Swap lavender for geranium or ylang ylang — same floral family. The blend will shift a little: geranium is green and rosy, fresh and balanced.
When is the best time to use home soaked from the rain?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
