It opens with sweet, fresh sweet orange, Ceylon cassia follows with gentle warmth, and patchouli lays a damp-earth base. The scent of days when you just want to stay home: a pot of sweet soup, a blanket, a movie. Good for the living room or bedroom on cold days. Mix a bottle ahead and take 5 drops for the diffuser each time; for a lighter version, reduce the patchouli in the bottle to 2 drops.

How it unfolds

On opening. Sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Ceylon cassia (sweet, softly spicy and warm) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.


Method

Diffuser
Sweet Orange 4 · Ceylon Cassia 2 · Patchouli 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Sweet Orange 2 · Ceylon Cassia 2 · Patchouli 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Sweet Orange 13 · Ceylon Cassia 9 · Patchouli 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.
