hiding from the midday sun

4 oils · Floral · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0502

Out there the sun is blazing; in here the curtains are drawn and it's cool. Frankincense leads with deep resin and a whisper of lemon peel, geranium and neroli spread a layer of green rose and clean white flowers, then myrrh leaves a little warm bitterness at the end. Perfect for a midday break in an air-conditioned room. Run the diffuser on a low mist setting, since the scent lingers a long time in a closed room.

How it unfolds

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); neroli (white-floral, honeyed and clear) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still); myrrh (bittersweet, resinous, deep and classic) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Frankincense 3 · Geranium 2 · Neroli 2 · Myrrh 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Frankincense 2 · Geranium 1 · Neroli 1 · Myrrh 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Frankincense 11 · Geranium 9 · Neroli 6 · Myrrh 4 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use hiding from the midday sun in a diffuser?
Add Frankincense 3 · Geranium 2 · Neroli 2 · Myrrh 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of frankincense?
Swap frankincense for vanilla or coffee — same resinous & sweet family. The blend will shift a little: vanilla is creamy, sweet and cozy.
When is the best time to use hiding from the midday sun?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
