You just arranged a vase of flowers on the table, and the whole room seems to perk up. Lavender and geranium split five drops each for a soft base of purple flowers and rose; lemongrass slips in a fresh lemony-grass note like freshly cut stems, and cedarwood lines the bottom with dry wood. Good for the living room on Saturday morning, curtains just opened. If lemongrass feels a bit sharp, cut it to two drops.

On opening. Lemongrass (fresh, green and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemongrass can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
