focus on the breath

3 oils · Herbal · Woody · Resinous & sweet · code BL-0863

Focus on your breath, in and out, nothing else. Seven drops of cedarwood open with a clear, dry wood base, frankincense adds warm resin, and green, fresh rosemary helps your head stay alert while you sit. This blend suits a morning meditation or the time before study. If you meditate in the evening, reduce rosemary to two drops to keep things deeper.

How it unfolds

On opening. Rosemary (cool, green, herbal and invigorating) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Cedarwood (dry and warm, like a wooden chest and pencil shavings); frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sink in and linger after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Cedarwood 4 · Frankincense 2 · Rosemary 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Cedarwood 2 · Frankincense 2 · Rosemary 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cedarwood 13 · Frankincense 9 · Rosemary 8 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use focus on the breath in a diffuser?
Add Cedarwood 4 · Frankincense 2 · Rosemary 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cedarwood?
Swap cedarwood for sandalwood or patchouli — same woody family. The blend will shift a little: sandalwood is creamy, smooth and long-lasting.
When is the best time to use focus on the breath?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
