desktop zen garden

3 oils · Citrus · Minty · Woody · code BL-0994

A tiny zen garden on your desk: white sand, pebbles, and a teeny rake. Peppermint, lemongrass, and patchouli share two drops each: icy cool, fresh tang, and damp earth, like a breeze through the garden after rain. Great for a desk or a window nook at midday. In the evening, cut peppermint to one drop for a softer feel.

How it unfolds

On opening. Peppermint (cool, sharp and clean); lemongrass (fresh, green and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. Patchouli (like damp earth and dark wood, deeply sweet) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.

Method

Diffuser
Peppermint 2 · Lemongrass 2 · Patchouli 2 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Peppermint 2 · Lemongrass 2 · Patchouli 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Peppermint 10 · Lemongrass 10 · Patchouli 10 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use desktop zen garden in a diffuser?
Add Peppermint 2 · Lemongrass 2 · Patchouli 2 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of peppermint?
Swap peppermint for spearmint — same minty family. The blend will shift a little: spearmint is sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum.
When is the best time to use desktop zen garden?
Use it while meditating, doing yoga, journaling, or simply sitting still for 10 minutes without your phone.
