cheerful but still focused

4 oils · Citrus · Floral · Herbal · code BL-1563

Happy, but still alert enough to get work done. Three drops of bergamot are fresh and clean, geranium and basil, two drops each, bring green rose and spicy-sweet leaves, and a single drop of lemon adds brightness. The scent is energetic and refined, great for the office or a home workspace. If you need more focus, add 1 drop of basil; for more cheer, add bergamot.

How it unfolds

On opening. Bergamot (light citrus with a floral edge, Earl Grey style); lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced); basil (sweet and green with a hint of anise) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Safety

Photosensitizing

Bergamot and Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.

FAQ

How do I use cheerful but still focused in a diffuser?
Add Bergamot 3 · Geranium 2 · Basil 2 · Lemon 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of bergamot?
Swap bergamot for sweet orange or lemongrass — same citrus family. The blend will shift a little: sweet orange is ripe, sweet, cheerful and round.
When is the best time to use cheerful but still focused?
Use it when guests are coming, on weekends, after tidying the house, or whenever you want a little good mood.
