The moment lemon kicks in, the room seems brighter, all crisp, clean fresh peel. Frankincense, also at four drops, keeps the tartness from flying off and pulls it down into a layer of warm resin, while ylang-ylang sprinkles in a little sweet flower. Lovely on a weekend morning, face just washed, mind not ready for much yet. Set the diffuser timer to switch on 15 minutes before you wake, so the scent is there to greet you.

On opening. Lemon (fresh, bright and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. Frankincense (resinous with a light lemony note, deep and still) sinks in and lingers after the diffuser is off.
Lemon can make skin sensitive to sunlight when applied topically — avoid sun and tanning beds for 12 hours after applying.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
