Wide awake, but never harsh. Roman chamomile takes the biggest share with gentle sweet apple, lavender cushions it with clean purple flowers, and juniper, eucalyptus and spearmint open up a cool, minty, airy layer on top. A big batch, good for using bit by bit on mornings. Add about 5 drops of the mix each time; for a small bedroom, just 3 drops.

On opening. Eucalyptus (strong, cool and wide open); spearmint (sweet and cool, softer than peppermint, with a hint of chewing gum) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Roman chamomile (like ripe apple and dry hay, soft and mellow); lavender (floral-herbal, clean and soothing); juniper (green and berry-like, with clean resinous wood) form the body of the scent and stay longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
