breathing up to the crown

3 oils · Herbal · code BL-3283

Cajeput and eucalyptus with a dot of camphor; airy all the way up.

Breathing deep, all the way to the top of your head: cajeput and eucalyptus radiata in equal parts bring an airy coolness, and a single drop of camphor adds a sharp edge. Great for the bedroom, a closed office or the car. Use 3–4 drops and run it for about 15 minutes; do not use in rooms for small children, and skip the camphor if you are scent-sensitive.

How it unfolds

On opening. Cajeput (cool yet warm, and very familiar); eucalyptus radiata (gently cool, softer than classic eucalyptus); camphor (icy, strong and clean) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Cajeput 2 · Eucalyptus Radiata 2 · Camphor 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.

Cajeput 2 · Eucalyptus Radiata 2 · Camphor 1 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Cajeput 12 · Eucalyptus Radiata 12 · Camphor 6 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

Safety

Skin irritant

Camphor can irritate skin — dilute well and patch-test on a small area first.

Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.

FAQ

How do I use breathing up to the crown in a diffuser?
Add Cajeput 2 · Eucalyptus Radiata 2 · Camphor 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of cajeput?
Swap cajeput for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use breathing up to the crown?
Use it in closed rooms, on humid days, in monsoon season or after long hours of air conditioning — diffuse in short 20–30 minute runs.
