a little rough around the edges

2 oils · Floral · Herbal · code BL-0383

Sleeves rolled up, hair a little messy, and that's enough. Two drops of tea tree bring clean, slightly sharp green leaf, and one drop of geranium adds fresh green rose. The scent is rustic, a bit dusty, never fussy, good for a home office or a wood-toned living room. This small blend suits a mini diffuser; for a big room double it, keeping the 2:1 ratio; for a softer scent, add 1 drop of geranium.

How it unfolds

On opening. Tea tree (green, medicinal and clean) rises first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.

As it settles. Geranium (green and rosy, fresh and balanced) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.

What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.

Method

Diffuser
Tea Tree 2 · Geranium 1 drops in 200–300 ml of water. Run for 30–60 minutes, then take a break.
10 ml roller
Tea Tree 3 · Geranium 2 drops, then top up with a carrier oil (jojoba or sweet almond). Dab on wrists and the back of the neck.
50 ml room spray
Tea Tree 20 · Geranium 10 drops + 1 teaspoon of food-grade alcohol, then top up with distilled water. Shake before spraying.

FAQ

How do I use a little rough around the edges in a diffuser?
Add Tea Tree 2 · Geranium 1 drops to 200–300 ml of water. In a room under 15 m², use 1–2 drops less; in a room over 25 m², add 1 more drop of the main oil.
What can I use instead of tea tree?
Swap tea tree for rosemary or eucalyptus — same herbal family. The blend will shift a little: rosemary is cool, green, herbal and invigorating.
When is the best time to use a little rough around the edges?
Use it at the end of the day, on weekends, while reading or right after a shower — whenever you want everything to slow down a beat.
