This Tet, the Lunar New Year, nobody asked about your salary, what a relief. Mandarin and sweet orange, five drops each, are sweet and juicy like the five-fruit tray; a single drop of ylang-ylang adds the yellow flowers of the holiday. The scent is cheerful and full of togetherness, great for a living room welcoming visitors. Switch it on while setting out the holiday sweets; for a full house, add 1 drop of ylang-ylang so the scent spreads farther.

On opening. Mandarin (gently sweet, softer than orange); sweet orange (ripe, sweet, cheerful and round) rise first, clearest in the first 10–15 minutes.
As it settles. Ylang ylang (rich, creamy, tropical and sweetly floral) forms the body of the scent and stays longest in the room.
What remains. With no woody or resin base note, this blend fades fairly quickly — switch it on again after 1–2 hours to keep the room scented.
Do not use for children under 6, during pregnancy, or if you have a health condition without asking a professional first. Never ingest essential oils; keep them out of reach of children and pets.
